Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 May 2026
Havering Heating ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Havering Heating is the data controller. You can contact us at info@haveringheating.co.uk or 07926 441643. Our address is 75 Palliser Dr, Rainham RM13 9TG, United Kingdom.
2. Information we collect
- Contact details — name, email, phone number, postcode and address.
- Job details — the service you're enquiring about and any information you share in your message.
- Payment records — invoice and transaction records (we do not store card details).
- Technical data — anonymised analytics such as browser, device, and pages visited.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote or estimate.
- To deliver the services you've booked and arrange appointments.
- To issue invoices and process payments.
- To comply with legal, accounting and Gas Safe regulatory requirements.
- To improve our website and services.
4. Lawful basis
We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR: consent (when you contact us), contract (to deliver the work you've booked), legal obligation (for tax and safety records), and legitimate interests (running our business and improving our service).
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months, and customer job records for up to 7 years to comply with HMRC and warranty obligations. After that we securely delete or anonymise the data.
6. Sharing your data
We never sell your data. We only share it with trusted third parties where necessary — for example, our accountants, payment processors, parts suppliers (where delivery to your address is required), and regulators such as Gas Safe Register. All processors are bound by appropriate data-protection agreements.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request erasure ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@haveringheating.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.
9. Cookies
For information on how we use cookies, please see our Cookie Notice.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with an updated effective date.
